Questions families often ask.
Here are some of the basics about getting started with RAD Therapies.
Do you accept insurance?
RAD works with a range of health plans, including Aetna, Anthem, Blue Shield of California, Carelon, Cigna/Evernorth, Health Net, Magellan, Molina, and TRICARE West. Coverage, benefits, authorization, and network status must be verified for each individual plan.
How old are the individuals you work with? Do you work with teenagers?
Yes. RAD serves individuals from approximately age 1 through 21, including children, teenagers, and eligible young adults.
Do you provide telehealth services?
Telehealth may be available when clinically appropriate, permitted by the individual's payer and treatment plan, and delivered through an approved secure platform. A supervisor can explain how virtual sessions work and help families understand what is needed for a successful session.
What happens before services begin?
RAD will discuss your needs, review service-area availability, verify insurance or other authorization requirements, and determine whether an ABA assessment is appropriate. If services are recommended, the clinical team develops an individualized treatment plan.
Can RAD work with my child's school?
When clinically appropriate, authorized, and permitted by the school or district, RAD may provide observations, behavioral evaluations, IEP collaboration, teacher consultation, and school-based support.
What health and safety practices do you follow?
RAD follows applicable health, safety, infection-control, and workplace requirements for the setting in which services are delivered. Families and staff should not attend in-person sessions when they are ill or when doing so would create a health or safety concern. Specific policies may vary by setting and current public-health guidance.
